Tigers Dominate Homecoming, 70-0 Victory Over Venus!

The Glen Rose Tigers came out firing on all cylinders Friday night for their Homecoming matchup against the Venus Bulldogs. The Tigers wasted no time taking control of the game, putting on an offensive and defensive showcase that had the home crowd roaring.

Lightning brought an early end to the game with just 40 seconds left in the third quarter, but by that point, the outcome was well decided. Glen Rose walked away with a commanding 70-0 victory.

If you haven’t heard, Terry Starnes has been leading a special community initiative called “Tackle Hunger” to support Papa’s Pantry. For every point the Tigers score, members of the community are encouraged to donate one can, bottle, box, or dollar to help feed local families.

So far, these boys have earned 182 donated items and counting!

If you feel led to join in and support the cause, donations can be made every Tuesday at Papa’s Pantry. Together, Tiger Nation is not just scoring touchdowns, they’re making a real difference in the community.

Glen Rose Lady Tigers Volleyball Team Close Out District Play

The Glen Rose Lady Tigers volleyball team closed out district play last week, showing grit and determination as they head into the postseason.

Despite the tough finish, the Lady Tigers secured a solid 3rd place standing in district with a 6–4 record, finishing the regular season at 27–16 overall.

As a final tune-up before playoffs, Glen Rose faced Rio Vista in a warm-up match, sweeping the contest 3–0 and building momentum heading into the postseason.

The Lady Tigers will open the playoffs on Thursday, October 30th, against Lubbock Cooper Liberty. The match is set for 6:30 p.m. at Abilene Cooper High School. Come out and support the Lady Tigers as they make their playoff run!
