Glen Rose's Stuart Mann Motivates Iredell Students

Stuart Mann, a resident of Glen Rose, recently shared a powerful testimony at Iredell's Field of Faith event, inspiring students with the story of his daughter's impact on his life.

Mann spoke from the heart, recounting his faith journey, and how his daughter's unwavering faith and love helped him to be a faithful follower of Jesus rather than being a fan..

Last year's Field of Faith event in Glen Rose left a lasting impression on Mann's daughter, and then their whole family, motivating him to share his personal journey with others.

His message of hope and perseverance resonated with the students, encouraging them to stay strong in their faith and never give up.

The Glen Rose Tigers hit the road Friday night and came home with a dominant 56–14 victory over the Hillsboro Eagles. The Tigers wasted no time taking control of the game, putting it out of reach by halftime with an explosive offensive performance and a stingy defense that gave Hillsboro little room to breathe.

With the game well in hand early, Glen Rose’s backups were able to step in and gain valuable playing time — a key opportunity as the Tigers prepare for the heart of district play. The depth on this team continues to show promise, and every rep helps build experience for the postseason push ahead.

The win moves the Tigers to 2–0 in district play and continues to showcase why Glen Rose is one of the top programs in the area.

Next up, the Tigers return home to take on Venus this Friday for Homecoming. Expect Tiger Stadium to be packed and loud as the community rallies behind their team for another big night under the lights in Glen Rose.

The Glen Rose Lady Tigers Volleyball team had an exciting week on the court, securing back-to-back district victories and setting a new school record along the way.

On Tuesday, October 14th, the Lady Tigers faced off against the Graham Lady Blues in a five-set battle. After trading momentum throughout the match, Glen Rose came out on top, winning 3 games to 2 in front of a fired-up home crowd.

Just a few nights later, on Friday the 17th, the Lady Tigers hit the road to take on Brownwood. Glen Rose continued their strong play, defeating Brownwood 3–1. The highlight of the night came from junior standout Henley Watkins, who broke a school record with 10 blocks in a single game — a remarkable defensive performance that helped seal the win.

With these victories, the Lady Tigers now sit at #3 in district play with a 6–2 record and an impressive 26–14 overall.

Glen Rose traveled to Stephenville Tuesday night to take on the Honeybees — a crucial matchup as both teams share identical 6–2 district records. This game could played a major role in shaping playoff positioning. Read next week for the scores!

Glen Rose Homecoming Parade Returns to Traditional Route with a Twist

The excitement is built up across Glen Rose as Tiger Nation prepared for one of the most anticipated events of the year — the 2025 Homecoming Parade. Set for yesterday, Wednesday, October 22, at 6:00 p.m., this year’s celebration featured some exciting changes that promise to bring the community together in true Glen Rose fashion.

Organizers announced that the parade will “go back to its roots,” reviving a classic route that longtime residents will remember fondly. The procession will kick off at Beck Field, roll down Barnard Street, turn left on Mary Lynn Drive by the elementary school, then loop left after the school onto Stadium Drive, and finish at the Arena.

But this year, the parade was only the beginning. After the final float rolled in, the traditional Community Pep Rally transformed into a full-blown Block Party at the Arena and Auditorium. The event featured plenty of Tiger spirit as the town rallies around its student-athletes ahead of Friday night’s Homecoming game.

Residents were encouraged to line the streets with signs, cheers, and cowbells as the parade passes through.

The return to the traditional route and the addition of the post-parade Block Party highlight what makes Glen Rose special — a community united by school spirit and hometown pride.

The streets came alive once again with the sound of cheers, the flash of floats, and the roar of Tiger pride.

Let’s go Tigers!
