Quote Of The Day |
"We must let go of the life we have planned, so as to accept the one that is waiting for us." - Joseph Campbell |
Storms Rolled In Late Saturday Night |
A nice thunderstoom rolled in onSaturday night and brought some much needed rain to the area. Our young daughter hates run because it "ruins her entire day". Each time, I have to remind her of this:
Rain is one of God’s greatest blessings to any community. Through His perfect design, rain waters the land, refreshes our rivers and lakes, and provides life for crops, gardens, and livestock. It seeps into the ground to replenish wells and aquifers, ensuring that we have water to drink. Rain even cleans the air we breathe and cools the heat of summer, reminding us of God’s provision in both small and big ways.
When we look at rain, we see more than just drops of water – we see the hand of our Creator sustaining life all around us. Every blade of grass, every flower in bloom, and every harvest from the field testifies to His goodness. In His wisdom, God gave us the gift of rain so that our communities could thrive, and each rainfall is an opportunity to pause and thank Him for His faithful care.

100 Men Stand for Students |

If you weren’t at the Glen Rose Tigers’ football game against Waco Robinson last Friday night, you missed an instant classic! This game had everything you could ask for in Texas high school football: big plays, momentum swings, and a finish that came down to the very last snap.
The Tigers, still searching for their first win of the season, showed nothing but heart! From the opening whistle to the final horn, these young men fought for every yard and never backed down. In fact, the outcome wasn’t decided until the last play, with Glen Rose ultimately falling just short in a 40-41 thriller.
In the middle of all the action, there was even some controversy. At one point, a down mysteriously disappeared during a key drive - something that didn’t sit too well with Tiger fans. Don’t worry, though, Coach Watkins made sure the officials knew about it!
Despite the narrow loss, there’s no doubt this team is coming together at the right time. The offense is clicking, the defense is battling, and the energy on the sideline is contagious. A few bounces the other way, and the scoreboard could have told a different story.
Next up, your Glen Rose Tigers will be on the road this Friday, September 26th, at 7 p.m. in Alvarado. Even better, the game will be televised live on WFAA Channel 8. Don’t miss the chance to cheer on your Tigers as they fight for their first victory of the season!

The Lady Tigers kept the momentum rolling last Friday with a big win, sweeping Robinson 3–0! Henley Watkins, Alex Arrington, and the rest of the team continue to shine as they open up district play today against Mineral Wells. Under the leadership of first-year head coach Kelsi Chavez, the Lady Tigers are locked in and hungry for a playoff push. This group has the talent, chemistry, and drive to make some noise in district competition!
